What is Cooperativa?​

"Cooperativa is a novel peer to peer lending platform that uses cooperatives formed between employees of a company or organisation"

​With Cooperativa members can borrow and save with each other anonymously and safely, keeping the full financial benefit between members who are either borrowers or savers.

The platform is hosted by the host company and all loan payments are deducted directly from employee salaries using the existing payroll infrastructure significantly reducing default risk.

Short and long term loans are funded by employee "Savers" (and external savers) with additional cash. These "Savers" receive attractive savings rates of up to 10% relative to low rates from high street banks.

"Borrowers" receive access to short and long terms loans at cheaper rates than other finance sources e.g. unsecured bank loans, credit cards and payday loans.
